Oddly, I wrote the beginning of it in June and then finished it up in August. I actually had to write something else (in Harry Potter) in between. *g*

Thanks. I liked the idea of it. I also like the idea of our values not being the same as any other cultures/worlds. It's what fun about the universe.

I also like the idea of Kirk having to grow up quickly. He would, too. Think about what kind of responsibility he has now. And the fact that he did 4 years of course work in 3. I just hate the characterizations of him that are all party boy, because really, not to likely. Even at the Academy. Don't even get me started on this. *g*

I love the idea of Bones and Spock being friends in this 'verse. I believe they were in TOS though neither of them could admit it until much later.

You know, as much as I like McCoy/Kirk. I'm starting to really like Kirk/Spock, too. I have an idea for a story that I want to write, if I ever get any time that is. A Kirk is straight -- forced bond story with Spock. Where Kirk is just not ever going to give in to the bond. *g*
