Things I love
A) The whole area of White Mountain. One of these days I'll be in the right kind of shape to do a fourteener.
B) Yosemite High Country. May Lake was gorgeous, at least the bits that I could see.
Which leads to things I don't love:
A) Late afternoon thunderstorms when I'm in the high country. Especially starting a minute before I get to the lake that I was hiking to. Thank Elath for water resistant hiking pants and jackets.
B) Assholes who burn down ranger stations and destroy National Forest/Park areas like someone did at the beginning of September at the Bristlecone Pine Forest.
