(You got to it before I could finish editing... somehow the list failed to include the 1 cup + 1 tablespoon all purpose flour. Which is important. >.> Also I used all white sugar... the note is from the OP.)

The dates make it lovely and moist. I find most toffee puddings here have raisins or dates in. One I even had it with dried cranberries, which was delightful.

I absolutely recommend making it. It is not difficult, and it is so tasty. Definitely comfort dessert.
