They should transfer automatically at some point--the admins are working on that one, but I believe it will be possible. :)

Not really sure; this stuff is beyond me. But yeah, my names are of course not the same (although the e-mail is), but it's my understanding that it'll all be worked out before long.

I dunno! These are very good questions. I don't really understand the issue with importing comms myself, particularly if OpenID gives you some freedom with taking ownership of comments you may not want transferred over to DW as part of a community. I think I'll snoop around for some answers...

I suppose it's about copying the stuff of people who have since disappeared of the face of the interweb and won't know you did it? Same would got for comments in a personal journal, but that's different than comm posts (you, nos, "own" the comments in your LJ, kinda-sorta, whereas the comm does not "own" your fic or whatnot.)

I'm probably asking questions that have already come up, based on my total failure to bother following these things...
