How to make your fiance feel like an idiot in 10 seconds flat
Lock the CD drive in the computer/entertainment center for something that you're doing and leave the house.
So... Apparently K has the ability to lock a drive so it won't open while you're working on something. And since the DVD player is not hooked up to the new TV, the computer is the only way to play DVDs...
I hit the button, nothing happens. I look around the machine some more, hit the button again... and again. Pop open the hatch for what is apparently a bay and then the hatch for the USB ports and such... So that button HAS to operate the CD drive. Hit it again. Pry open the door plate, see the drive, look for some other button I should push. Hit the button on the front of the machine... Nothing. Finally give up and figure I'm a damned moron and call K. He says hit the button... I did! Hit it again. I did! Wha- oh. I must have locked it. *Le sigh* So now he's going to unlock it using his mother's machine while he's still at her house. I still feel like a damned moron but not for the original reason. I miss the days of VNC.
