Dare I hope for an early Spring?

Feb 21, 2009 17:34

The alarms go at the crack of dawn -- Daz and the new Lady are heading of to Italy this morning.

Eventually I hear movement down the passage and roll over to cuddle the felines and snuggle under the duvet. Might be vaguely light but they're getting it together and no need of me.

Several hours late with Mr. Muddy doing the plaintive yodel thang for the in-out-thang. I admit defeat and surface.
En robe and tousled am supping my first cuppa of builders-tea, Skype flares into life!
Frantic IM from Kiwi Land.
I have ten minutes to to shower and cement the sliding portions of my body! Huh?
Says who?
um ... whom?

Oh Kiwi Land tells me I need a shot of JD too when I'm showered!

Me?
I comply. SK never asks for much. Besides I think I know why.

Yep. The mystery is solved once I am on video and fresh. It's Kris' birthday :D :D :D
Although the JD on an empty tummy does make for an interesting following several hours. He eventually departs to rest in time for his party which is due to start soon by my calculation as I write this post. Gee these variable timezones!

Set about the dhoti with a vengeance.
Leave it to dry and tootle into the village as an afternoon constitutional with the goal of kitty basics and a calorie burnout!
The day is sublime. Simply sublime. A few "wet" spots from the melt but trees and fauna are in bud, the breeze is warmish, I can go out sans cloche, gloves and scarf. Joy! Enjoy a fab trot there and back, rather like Bilbo minus the dwarves and Gandalf.

Upon my return I continue with the stamping project.
Yay! It comes together, it does, it does my Precious. Soon my Precious!
Two happy cats loll at my feet reveling in their sun spots. Growls and glares are kept to a minimum and I am happy with my efforts.
All is well with my world!

So enough about me ... what about you?
