The ice has frozen over Houhai and small children skid around it on chairs. I, wearing about twenty layers of clothing, walk past and hear the shouts of "xiao lao wai!" kindof an enigmatic term, "little old foreign," anyway it's what I am. Then I go home, and watch Six Feet Under. Ah, Beijing.
I saw Mao Zedong's body. It was Suspiciously Waxy.
I ate McDonald's in Wangfujing like a typical, miserable, Christmas-season foreigner.
I lost the letters I wrote to you all. But I will rewrite them.
I got a haircut.
It does not look any different.
I smoked hookah on Bar Street, and played Harry Potter computer games with my sister.
Things are pretty good.
