unbroken gaze
Today i met for my 4th interview with a church i went to in college. i am in the process of applying for the high school youth pastor position there. after 2 and 1/2 hours of inquisition... and not a whole lot of affirmation... i find it easy to loose focus and sight of my Jehovah Jireh (My Provider). this song was stuck on repeat as i drove home this afternoon...
Your laughter it echoes like a joyous thunder

i am also reminded of the words to a famous hymn... "Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace."
May the "things of earth" become dim as my life becomes "one unbroken gaze" because i am "fixed upon the beauty of [God's] face."
