Day 5 - New season of television ramblings

Sep 13, 2013 23:12

I dropped a lot of shows last year (Once Upon a Time, Castle, Bones, NCIS, Grimm, Suburgatory, etc.) so I was really hoping there was going to be a lot of new television shows I'd want to watch this season, but, nope! It doesn't seem like there will be. Thus, my television viewing is going to be a bit sparse this year, I think.

What I'm watching this coming season, at least for now )

Oh, I'm in the US. Just Jen above is a poor Canadian in this respect. :P (I'm in Western NY, so practically, but not quite, in Canada.) I just haven't gotten a chance to watch the episode because of life getting in the way. I'm glad you liked it. You bring the tally up to two people who liked it to one who didn't. Open-ended storytelling possibilities are a good thing. :)

At least I'm a bit more removed from Eureka than you are, so maybe it won't bother me as much? (It might, though. We'll see.)

Yeah, it's partially because Alicia just isn't as compelling to me as she was. I don't think the female friend thing really registered to me, because it isn't like she really has male friends either. She has Cary/Kalinda. Then she has her love interests. Who else is really a friend?

As far as Will goes, the love triangle/quadrangle part just doesn't really work for me as I don't really like either Peter or Will for Alicia. Abusive husband for Kalinda plot? What such plot? I don't remember it. (aka I'm really, really, really trying to block that storyline from my memory.)

Attention wandering is a good description. I watched, but I just wasn't as excited or as engaged as I was in previous years.

I might totally watch that show. I like Diane.
