yay books!!!

SO GLAD YOU LIKED MERCY. i like alpha and omega for different reasons, but i admit the romance is kinda annoying. I like the worldbuilding we get in that series though.

If you liked Mercy, I recommend downside ghosts or october daye which are other Urban fantasy series i've read lately. also Embers by Laura Bickle was alright.

I haven't read any other UF yet, but i hope to get around to it someday soon. (i've read like 1 book this past month which is pretty shitty tbh)

For me, it really was that the romance was annoying. And it was part of everything! Even the murder mystery parts had romance thrown in every other sentence. (Or so it seemed. :P )

I like October Daye. (And, in fact, I'm intending to pick up the latest when I get paid on Friday. :) ) I liked the first line in that description of Downside Ghosts, but then came "If you liked the compelling characters in 50 Shades of Grey..." Yeah... no. :P I'm going to hope that is a publisher just trying to cash in on the popularity of that series, though, so I put the first book on hold. LOL at "was alright" being a recommendation selling point! :P I'm going to try and remember to get it out when I go to babysitting this weekend, as it is at the library by the kid's house.

You've been really busy this past month, though! Projects, and outings, and visitors, and puppy... :D

right? the inner worrying about their relationship annoyed me a lot. but oh well.

YAY! ahahah nooooooo don't worry about the 50 shades reference. I don't know why, but this has become one of my favourite series. I don't know why anyone things anything 50 shades is a selling point. sigh.

Yeah, which frustrated me, because I was really interested in the world and the politics and stuff, but it wasn't the focus like I wanted it to be.

Good to know! (I can theoretically understand why people would think 50 Shades is a selling point, but... no. Just... no.)

What's your goal? I feel like I should know this already?

my goal is 75 books. Which even though i've only read one book in the last 2 months, i'm still ahead of. I go through moods where i read a lot and then where i read nothing. I'm hoping it'll swing back round so i can get the last 22 books read

Oh nice! That's actually pretty impressive, at a book and a half a week or so. I keep thinking I should keep track of the number of books I read, but it never happens. I put some of them in Goodreads now, at least?

yeah. i generally read at a decent pace, its just time/interest that mess me up lol

i put mine on goodreads too otherwise i'd have no idea

I really should put everything on there. As I've accidentally reread things. But I'm lazy, so it's not likely to happen.
