The Subliminal Reassurances of Procedural Dramas

This was posted on a Without a Trace mailing list I am a part of. The poster said that it was originally posted on a Numb3rs list and he/she got permission to post it over on the WaT list. I don't have such permission, but it's quite funny and I felt I had to share.

I've seen them all minus Criminal Minds and actively follow 6 of them aso i'm not as bad as you. I agree with you about NCIS. Poor show, it's always getting picked on.

OMG, I love the icon! So funny.

Anyway... I'm glad I'm not the only one that watches many shows; it makes me feel better. Regarding NCIS, for being a top 10 (and often top 5) show, it really doesn't get any respect. I know it's not "cool" like the CSI's, but still...

When I watched the icon you're using here I thought: "Who is this goodlooking guy?" Then I recognised Tony!! If only he wasn't depicted as such shallow man in NCIS!

For me at least, shallow is a nice change of pace from the all-angst-all-the-time that I get elsewhere. (And he is quite attractive, which gives him a little bit more leeway in my book. *grin*)

You know what? I have to hang my head about the shallowness and the irony in dramas and murders... I'm happily watching Crossing Jordan. Corpses, angst with a lot of lightness and jokes.
Well, maybe NCIS has something beside that aspect that I can't enjoy...
