update.
These things have happened:
1. Lion in Winter came and went. It was a magnificent show with a low turnout. Whoever didn't go is an asshole. No offense.
2. The end-of semester round of auditions is over. I'm in "Out the Window," a one-act directed by Jessica Pautler. It has hints of nonrealism but is still a very lovely story. Whoever doesn't go is an asshole. Excuses will be heard but possibly not accepted.
3. New York is out, Washington DC with Rachel and Nick is in. Chekhov will live with her parents. I believe this is the bast scenario that I am faced with at this juncture in my life. I'll be trying to save money and auditioning for whatever's out there. I'm half anticipating, half dreading it. No offense to Rachel and Nick. It's the prospect of losing ninety percent of the life I know now that is unsettling and prenostalgic.
4. I got a print of mine accepted in the Juried Student Art Show. I'm still reeling. It's kind of the bastard child of everything I submitted/was considering submitting, but no matter. Everyone should go and see it as well, but you are not assholes for not doing so.
5. There is nothing to do in Kirksville during Spring break that does not cost money. This will be the death of me.
6. Tonight is the first night in possibly 2 weeks that I have not had an alcoholic beverage.
7. My car was parked across the street from my apartment and got towed for the low, low price of $125! Thanks, Buck Bros!
