silly graduates.. camp is for kids!
Wow... I'm updating. (Yes, I am very bored.) :P
So I got back from Florida on Saturday night... camp for a week, then the beach (I'm de-casperized!!) I miss it. A lot. Mostly Leah though... if she'd moved back up here with me I wouldn't be all that choked up about leaving.
Camp was AWESOME.. much better than last year. Leah and I were kinda scared that our other two roommates were gonna be no good, but we were SO wrong (and happily so). Our room was entirely graduates (we think they did that on purpose) and we kind of stuck to ourselves bc, not only had we all been to camp at least once before, but most of the other people there were little... there was a girl a few doors down from us who had just turned 14. Then there was another girl who looked like she was about 10 and didn't know what voice part she was. Anyway, so we came up with all these nicknames for ourselves like The Graduate(s), The Elitists, The Snobs, The Line-Leaders, etc... and the first night we made a poster out of 4 pieces of cardstock paper that we taped together.. and then we decided that we'd each go home with a section of it- we wound up writing a bunch of inside jokes on it, which I won't put on here bc nobody will get them.. but it was fun and now my section of the poster is immortalized in packing tape (cheap version of lamanation). I cried SO MUCH leaving.. as soon as I walked away from Leah I just started sobbing.. and I did that probably 3 or 4 of the 7 days we were at the beach, too.. so yeah. I miss it. But I might get to fly down to Tallahassee around Christmas and spend a week or so at Leah's house, so that's exciting.
In other news... all that craziness about my thyroid gland was for nothing... it's not the first time my doctor's seen something on me and freaked out for a not very good reason. All the tests showed that it was just extra tissue or muscle or something in my neck.. my TSH is still low and my doctor wants to monitor that for a while, but there's nothing wrong with my thyroid at all. So.. that's a good thing.
Anddd.. tomorrow is Laura-and-Beth Anne-pretend-like-they're-6-again Day! (We're watching The Little Mermaid! *claps*) This is very exciting... except I won't give away the rest of it bc... it would potentially put both of us at risk for being laughed at.. heh. But we're going to have fun so it doesn't matter. :D Then Thursday I'm leaving for Converse for Summer Serve and I'll be back Saturday for the rest of the summer... until August 24th when I FINALLY GET THE HECK OUT OF LEXINGTON! YAY!!!! So... if you wanna do something.. give me a call after Saturday. :P
And on that note.. I'm gonna go be addicted to Facebook for a while... or maybe do something productive.. or maybe not. :P
