Author: deepbluemermaid.
Fandom: the BBC's Sherlock.
Title: 'Reading too much meaning from existence', part 2 of 3 ( part 1 is here).
Spoilers: set many years pre-canon (1997-2001), with only tiny spoilers for 'A Study in Pink' and 'The Blind Banker'
Word count: 3,600 words.
Genre / Pairings: slash, with a little bit of het (Sherlock/Sebastian, Sherlock/OMCs, Sherlock/OFC).
Rating: NC-17 for sex, drugs and language.
Warnings / Enticements: angst, a dysfunctional relationship, promiscuous behaviour, sex in inappropriate public places, and recreational drug use.

Summary: Attending Oxford is almost a foregone conclusion for Sherlock.

Author's notes: I am currently studying at Oxford University, so I couldn't resist the chance to depict Sherlock as a fellow Oxonian! This story is a Sherlock-focused prequel to my John-POV fic Food for thought, but it can be read independently.

Sherlock passes through college social life like a ghost; or, to be more accurate, like a poltergeist.

warning: sexual content, drug use, drug abuse, angst: emotional, character: mycroft holmes, addiction, character: holmes, emotional hurt, rating: nc-17, warning: slash, movie/tv canon
