Chicago

I am in Chicago for a few days. I love Chicago. I didn't realize how much I missed living in a city. I f*cking hate the burbs. I can now honestly say that I like New York better than Chicago. I don't know; it just feels more like my home. I know the "New Yorkers" out there are saying, "She only lived there for a couple of months. How would she know?" Well, I do! Metro Detroit never felt like my true home. I have always felt welcomed and loved, but I never like it was for me. It makes me appreciate that amazing city (NYC) even more.

Don't take offense, Chicago.

We saw Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage last night. It was last minute, and it was my present to Jess for letting me stay with her. I have to admit, that it was eveything I hoped for and more. I mean the acting was pretty bad (but I wasn't expecting Chekhov). The book was exactly like the movie. The actors looked JUST LIKE everyone from the movie. The girl who played Baby had Jennifer Grey's body type, facial structure, her voice, even her signature nose. When you put her in the "Baby" wig, the likeness was uncanny!!!! Now the acting (if you can call it that), was just line exact line readings from the movie. I caught myself laughing out loud a couple of times. It was like resurrecting Jerry Orbach. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Just thinking about it makes me laugh. But I said that I loved it and I did! The dancing was so fierce! It was sick the way the women could twist their bodies and kick their legs over their head. The girl who played Penny is one of the best dancers I have ever seen. She had the tiny Vera Allen waist, and about 8% body fat. I want to be her. LOL.

Alright, time for my meeting with the Korean Consulate. GET ME MY VISA DAMNIT!!!!!!!

Then it is shopping, exploring (aka getting lost) in Chicago, taking a run downtown(Millenium Park), phone date with Gus while shopping some more, dinner with Jess, haunted house, and then it is a night out on the town!!!!
