This past weekend was the scottish wedding show. It was utter mayhem. So many people. It took forever to go get anything. The best part were all the guys in kilts. I love evening wear here. So much better then a regular tux. Allison is also all ready to get married now. As she said about one guy this weekend "I don't know what he is, but he's in a kilt!"
So there were also two concerts I worked this weekend (Double shifts are hell). The first was Atomic Kittens. Pre teen girls everywhere. Enough said, let's forget about it. On Sunday it was Shania Twain, and it was incredible. They came in with 4 semis and 7 tour buses. The set up was insane. THere was a huge stage, a gigantic sound system, pyrotechnics (which I think whould be so much fun to get it to), you name it. They shot confetti out at the end, which made me wonder, if they shoot confetti out at the end of each show, that's an awful lot of confetti. Do they carry all that confetti with them, or do they buy it as they go? She’s coming back on March 10 and with any luck I be on bar, which mean I'll be in the hall. I can’t wait.
Worked the Volunteer Sector Fair on Monday and Tuesday. It was crazy. The best part was on Tuesday when we had to shut the pod down for a half hour due to electrical problems. The plastic on the plug had started to melt. What fun.
Am feeling slightly stupid as I totally forgot that today was Ash Wednesday. Am more mad that I missed Shrove Tuesday and any Marti Gras fun. Grrr.
Might try to do a day trip tomorrow. Originally I had several days off, which ment a longer trip, but picked up some extra shifts. Might try to go to the Isle of Arran. It depends on the ferry schedule. We'll see what happens.
