So I know longer have a gallbladder. Unfortunately, my 5:15 surgery didn't take place until 7:30. Plus, after the doctor talked to Mom after surgery, the nurses forgot about her and didn't bring her back to see me in recovery. Then when she called to see where I was, they scared the shit out of her by telling her I was in ICU (nothing was wrong, they just stuck me there to recover as I was the only one in recovery and ICU had more staff). The surgery went well. I'm slightly sore and it only really hurts when I engage my abdominal muscles (like when I try to sit up.....and when I laugh....and when I walk), but it's more of the feeling that you get when you overwork muscles that haven't been used in a while (sorta like when I do too many squats). I get to start driving again on Friday, and may try to do half days at work next week, but it depends on how I feel. The person I feel really bad for is my mom. Not only is she dealing with me and my surgery, but Grandma had cataract surgery this morning, so she's at our house currently so Mom can take care of her as well. And she is a much worse patient then I am (She always has to be on top, so of course, she's in much more pain then I am and her situation is so much worse). Mom and I just kinda grin and bear it. Thank god she'll be at her house tomorrow and not here.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers and good wishes. I really appreciate you all.
