Why I do love the memes so much?

Because without them, I'd rarely have something fun posted in my journal.

Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."
• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions

1. Dog person, or cat person and why?

Cat person. Not that I don't like dogs, but I'm much more attached to cats. Probably because we had cats when I was a kid - sweet cats that would come and sit with me and and purr while I was sick, keeping me company.

2. What is your computer's desktop wallpaper (extra points for an actual screenshot).

My current desktop is Tamaki dressed as a vampire, from the Halloween episode of Ouran High School Host Club. It was either him, or the Twins. I went with Tamaki, the lovable dork.

3. Does your car have a pet name, if so what is it?

The Thunderbird is known as Dirty Diana. At first it was just Diana (from Luna and Artimis's daughter from Sailor Moon) but because I rarely washed her, she became known as Dirty Diana, almost sorta based on the Michael Jackson song.

The Mazda doesn't have a name yet, and so still retains the title of Tiny Blue Car. And it's not like the car is tiny, per se, but it's smaller than Dirty Diana. I'll have to drive it around a little bit more to establish the car's personality and what its name should be.

4. Do you speak any languages other than English and if so, when do you learn the other language?

I can fake my way through Spanish, and I certainly understand it better than I speak it. I learned Spanish officially in middle school and high school, but I had grown up around it since my father always insisted on speaking to us kids in Spanish. Admittedly I'm really rusty and can really only speak combat Spanish when I absolutely need it.

I've also picked up bits and pieces of Japanese - mostly self-taught and absorbed by watching a lot of anime. I'm really trying to stop the whole "weeaboo" Japanese and legitimately learn useful phrases (like, "Where is the bathroom?" and "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die.") as well as hiragana, katakana and kanji.

5. What is your absolute favourite place (that you've actually been to) on Earth?

Oooh, that's tough.  I think I'm going to have to go with Oregon Coast.  There's something about that place that I just love.  Sure, Miami is great and Yellowstone was amazing, but I feel really comfortable on the Oregon Coast.  I think I could live there if I had to.
