Apparently last night Cartoon Network did a one time relaunch of their Toonami block, which was awesome, but I crashed before I could watch any of it. Of course most of what they were showing I own on DVD (Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star) so I can watch them whenever I want. But the nostalgia goggles were on last night, and in that respect that was pretty cool.
I briefly toyed with the idea of doing an April's Fools Day prank on my friends and family on Facebook, and then realized the potential backlash could be reality shattering, so I decided not to. Because jokingly announcing that you're pregnant on Facebook has potential world ending consequences and I don't want to say, "Seriously, look at the date," every time my phone rings. If I didn't think I'd get killed by my family, I might actually seriously consider it just to screw with my friends, but even I'm not that cruel.
In other news, I'm doing laundry, the wind is blowing, I need to call my dad to check in (he sent an email this morning about his potential cancer treatment which is some sort of non-radioactive type that's being pioneered at the University of Florida, which means a temporary move to Jacksonville for the duration of his treatment) and then I contemplate my navel because I have no idea what else I should do today.
And before I forget, here's the dress I made for my uncle's party this summer:
I'm pleased with how it turned out. The skirt isn't perfect, but my sewing machine's tension was being fussy again so the gathering on the waist wasn't as nice as it could have been. However I managed to install a zipper that doesn't look completely shitty, and overall the fit is perfect. And the best part is that I know I'll be the only one at the party wearing that dress. No off the rack for me, thank you. :D
Hmm, other than that, nothing exciting here. If it weren't blowing so bad I might attempt to dig out my kite and go to the park, but the wind is too much (as usual) so no kite flying for me. Boo.
