(no subject)
Well, I just got back from spending $1,000 on clothes for this new job...Thank God for the signing bonus! (I think that's more money than I've spent on ALL my clothes combined, even if you added up every clothing item I've owned as an adult. Seriously.) But after six years of archaeological fieldwork, I had only two or three shirts that weren't totally trashed and, sadly, those came from Goodwill :/.
Tomorrow morning, I leave for a month of training in Minneapolis. Hopefully, it'll all go well and they won't fire me for being insolent or incompetent (or both!).
I've got my grown up clothes, a weekly planner, my spine and an Orange Crush so I guess I'm ready to go. (bad REM reference...sorry.)
I also bought a very cheap laptop off e-bay, so hopefully it'll run internet for me up there. I copied the rest of Blood to it and won't be using the work computers for anything personal, as I hear this company watches the network like a hawk. Smutty Remus/Tonks drabbles probably wouldn't go over too well, so fanfiction and cosplay will remain between me and my fandoms. ;)
On August 6, I'll be back in Texas and will have ten days to get permanently moved to Denver; so my internet activity between now and the end of August might be a bit spotty.
