(no subject)
I get on these runs where I NEVER want to update my journal. Is it because it makes me face reality about my life? Possibly.
So here is a quick update since I am feelig slightly motivated.
I went to Florida like a month ago. It was hot there. Conclusion: The rest of the country does not have as cool of KY chapters as we do in the midwest.
Then I finished my rotation in Wabasha (did you hear about that at all?) It was pretty good considering it was supposed to be institutional. I spent a great deal of my time thinking (ie worrying) about whether to do a residency or not. In the end I decided that I never wanted to do one in the first place and was only considering it because I felt it was expected of me and that I don't have to do everything that is expected of me. So there, whew. Now I wish everyone would stop asking me if I know what I want to do next year . . .
Uh, then I started at fairview (university) which is F-ing HUGE compared to the other 2 hospitals I was at over the summer. I've gotten lost several times, including on my own floor. I am in Adult bone marrow transplant right now which is VERY intense and stressful. To make matters worse I have to write my paper because it is due in about 2 weeks (draft 1). At least I worked on it some over the summer so most of my research is done. Tonight I plan to do the easy parts (ie type my references and do the methods section, which is about 1 paragraph). At least I can say I started it then.
And the big deal of last week was when dan and I were outside for 3ish hours working on house stuff and Oliver and Oscar cought a bat (inside the house). The next day they got rabies boosters. They were very proud of themselves.
AND The IRS thinks I owe then $1600, which I don't. Gotta get that figured out. Self, thanks for remidning me.
