I got the internship at the children's museum!! eee! funness!
I also went on an interview for an internship at the Morgan Library though. It sounds so exciting there! I get to work with ooooooooooold books and manuscripts. awesomeness!! but i don't actually get to touch them. bleh. apparently, you need a special education in rare books to touch these things. I asked about that and the lady told me there was a good class at the university of virginia. a bit far, i would say. and expensive, as she tells me. so yeah, i don't know how well this interview went. I actually had two. One with the Library representative and one with the Manager i would be working with. The representative seemed to be really impressed with my resume and such. and friendly. :) the manager person was waaaaaaaaaaay formal and strict. like the classic librarian. hehe she even has the glasses and cardigan look! she was way harsher on my resume than the other lady. actually, the interview with the manager was quite intimidating! She sat down with 2 other ladies to interview me so i felt like i was getting judged by a panel of prosecutors or something. they even had this lamp with harsh bright light like you see in interrogation rooms. haha I kept feeling like i wasn't quite measuring up to their expectations. mrrr, but i want this because it paaaays monies.
so, the museum lady said she'd like to schedule me for near the end of the week. I didn't think i was getting this one cause it took them so long to respond so i told the museum lady i could work any time they needed me. hmmm...if i get this internship, i'll have to go back on my word for that one since i'd have another obligation... i don't think they'd be too please to hear that... hopefully, i'll hear from the library before i have to reply to the museum about my schedule so that i don't make a schedule that would disaapoint either peoples. but i can't worry about that right now cause i still have one final and a paper to go!
I've take 3 in the last two days. such a huge load off my shoulders. I will talk more later cause i must go catch the bus now. laterrrrs
