Yesterday I picked Terje up at 1130am, app. Drove to Kristiansand and was there around 4pm. Had dinner at pizza place and got a text saying the ferry had been delayed by 1 1/2 hour. Great. Waited for ferry, which was an additional 40 minutes late. Finally arrived in Hanstholm at 11:40pm.
Terje drove all the way down to Flenburg, which is just across th German border. Our initial deal was that I'd do some, if not all, of the driving after we got off the ferry. Don't know why it didn't work out like that. The last 30 minutes of a 4 hours drive was dreadful. We had already stopped to get something to drink, and I kep nodding off. My job was to keep him awake, so that wasn't the best thing to do right there and then.
We made it to our hotel and was greeted by a nice man working in the bar/reception. Had5-6 hours of sleep, then breakfast and then we drove to Rostock - another 4 hours, which took at least 5 due to an accident on the autobahn.
Here now. Had yummy dinner at a Chinese restaurant calle "Hong Long" (LOL) and have taken a bath in the big bath tub in our room. The hotel here is funky. I hope to remember to take some pictures of it before we leave.
