My mom's panicking a bit that
phantoms_siren and
lunalee is staying here for the wedding and a little while afterwards. She's begun tidying up the house. That's not bad, that's not hat I'm saying, but her attitude is what gets to me. I can't handle tidying and fixing and cleaning with someone who continues to complain that there's so much to do. I need positive attitudes!
Anyway, that's not what the point of this post.
Today she cleaned out her bathroom cupboard. I really need to do the same.
And she found an un-opened pack of Always pads and left it in my sink.
I moved it to hers. This is a little game of ours. Leaving stuff we don't want to claim as our own in each other's sinks. We're really immature and stubborn like that.
Then, she comes down to the basement and says that she left it in my sink because she's "grown out of needing that sort of thing".
How should one break it to your mom that you don't use or need it either because you love your cup? It's not like I've hidden it from her. It's been standing in between periods on the sink/surrounding surfaces in the downstairs bathroom to air dry and, well, air for the last year. That's the same bathroom that she uses for washing and drying of clothes. I think she really does need the glasses she was prescribed 30 years ago and still refuses to wear.
