Despite the fact that I own the box set of all three (yes, even the nonsensical second and atrocious third) Jurassic Park movies, I am still so excited that the first is coming on tv in half an hour. I was all tired, then I saw it scroll by the tv-guide channel, and now I will not be able to sleep until it is over. Make no mistake I would stay up to watch all three if they were to be aired.
In other news, by Michigan State Standards and Benchmarks for Fine Arts Education students should be proficient with a ruler by the third grade. After a week or more of teaching my kids how to hold, read, and make a straight line using a ruler, if you walked by my room today while I was teaching one-point perspective you would have thought I was digging their teeth out of their gums with a rusty spoon. Oh, and starting next semester I'll be teaching a few sections of computer graphics. wee!
