Excerpt from what I wrote the night I came back:
OMG! It was great!
(aside from literally being crushed on several occasions)
I never listened to Kasabian before, but they were on first at the festival, and they are AWESOME! I'm in love with them. Especially the lead singer because he's so attractive and nice and...pretty voice!
I'm just pissed that the whole crowd of people who were there at that time weren't so enthusiastic about them. Laura & I (and a few others) were the only ones dancing!
Oi! But yea. There was a lot of hot guys. :(
I didn't stay for Wolfmother, so Laura, Claire & I (I'll use LCI for short.) went to get autographs from Kasabian. Jesus was in front of us in the line. Laura got a signature on her boob (but it sweated off later during Gnarls Barkley? Which sucked. Gnarls, I mean.), and I got the whole band to sign my V-Fest shirt.
After that we went to the Dance Tent for a short bit. 2ManyDJ's was on then, I think. That was the first time I've ever really smelled pot. And pot smells like feet. Ew. But, 2ManyDJ's was great too!
When we came out, Kasabian was walking really fast towards the exit(?) and we chased them and got out pictures taken. The lead singer is really nice and attractive!! I asked him if I could have his illegitimate babies, and he said "No!" :(
Hrm..what happened after that...er...oh! We went back to the Grand Stage and saw Raconteurs which were great too! Then it was Gnarls Barkley, and we were close to the front then, and the people were being insane! I mean, c'mon, it's Gnarls Barkley! Who can be that excited about that? Seriously. I was crushed twice, at least, and it hurt so bad I started crying. Some asshole next to me started laughing about it to his girlfriend. Because he asked if I wanted out, but I said no. Fag.
So..the Killers were awesome, still a bit squished then. The Who were amazing, but I had a serious migraine so I couldn't really enjoy it much...:(
The Pepper's took forever in getting on stage. We had to keep booing at the sound check guys. One of the songs they played during the wait was er.."Fuck You Gently"? All the guys in the ENTIRE 20,000+ crowd started singing altogether. It was great.
The first song the Chili's played was "Can't Stop". ^_^
Laura & I got out by crowdsurfing. That was awesome. But I pulled a butt muscle when I did..:(
Ew..my throat hurts from screaming.
Eh. Anyways. I had a great time all in all!
