xkcd = <3 Okay, so over dinner, the subject of the odd expression "it's raining cats and dogs" came from, and my dad says: "Well. That expression has been mangled. You know that Nissan used to be Datsun? Well, they had a factory, where each part was made in a separate room. One day in the room where they made cogs, the workers weren't paying attention and accidentally caused a big explosion, and all the cogs on the line were thrown right through the roof and into the air. The next day on the weather forecast, the meteorologist announced that it was raining
Datsun cogs. Of course, since then, Datsun has become Nissan, so now we say "it's Nissan it down!"
>_<
Also, I quit my job! YAY ME! I am doing chemistry 20 online, so I kinda needed time to work on that, and guitar lessons, and besides, one of the new managers is a bit...well, I almost told her off twice and coming from quiet little me, that's saying something.
My Legal Issues for Writers class is taught by lawyers =( (not my favourite group of people) but the subject itself is...useful, I guess. I dunno. I'm interested in a hell of a lot of things, but the letter of the law is not one of them. My Screen Writing (or rather, screen-interpreting) class seems fun, though. And I was the only one in the class who had seen The Bicycle Thief. Go Me! (and Air Canada's movie selection).
TTFN! (lol have been watching war movies)
