(no subject)
I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear right now. Just got off the phone with Pete. Now he's made implications before, but never directly come out and said, that he wants us to eventually get married. Until now. He says to me "I need to discuss something with you" My initial thought was oh god, problem? He says, "you know in a couple years I'd like for us to get engaged". My expression? INSTANT SMILE ON. Before he'd imply things along the lines of marriage, but would immediately counter it with a "oh god, I'm so not ready for that yet". But now he's made it clear that he is ready, and once we get settled and save enough that if things are still good between us (we both are being realistic about that part, you just never know. we have yet to discover how our relationship will grow when we will be seeing each other every day and how well we get along and stay getting along when living together for a month, three months a year, etc) that we will be making plans for marriage. I know he wants kids too, I'd like to wait til we get married. Anyway, my head is swimming with happy happy thoughts now ^_^
