They say forgiveness is the best revenge
so I guess I'm not exactly the revenge type.
Watch me as I cringe
at the idea of letting you go.
Smiles and hugs and I love yous
all for show.

They say forgiveness is the hardest strike
but I wanna keep this a defensive war.
I'll fight this fight the way I like.
Done with secrecy and deceit and behind-back-talk,
pointless arguments and trickery;
retreat, escape, but calmly walk.
