And E.R.A. will mean we all have to have unisex bathrooms. Geez!! Do these folks just assume we can't read the bill ourselves to discover they're lying??!!

OK, A - this isn't even the latest version of the bill but, comparing the two, I don't see any substantial changes in the new version so fine, I'll leave that for now.

B - The law is written VERY vague so final implementation will be most likely determined by this "committee" along with the courts. It's doubtful that Ms. McCaughey has any better idea than I do what the final implementation of this will be unless her crystal ball is AMAZING!!

I've read the bloody thing three times now & NOWHERE can I find a requirement that docs HAVE TO submit treatments for possible review. It's all about setting up a committee to determine how to create this electronic network. And yes, it does talk about the benefits of medical records being electronically available including a more efficient marketplace and such. It doesn't however say that anyone will be reviewing your records but you. It talks about how PATIENTS will be able to review in order to make cost efficient decisions. It also mentions Health Insurance companies reviewing. It doesn't mention anyone else.

Now, I have NOT read Daschle's book so he may very well claim all this stuff in his book. However, then Ms. McCaughey is making the mistake of complaining about ONE issue by pointing to another.

So much for moving beyond politics as usual. Argh!!!! And now I'm going to be annoyed for the rest of the day.
