A quick little morsel of Robbie thought-wave to make sure I develop some sort of semblance of a continuity.
Today there was a spot of not so good news. It seems that the play that I had my first rehearsal for is now down one actor, which in a three man play is a very bad thing indeed. I mean, just imagine if a third of your family were to decide to pack up and move to micronesia one day.
Well, technically a fifth including the director and stage manager... but you get the drift. The director has asked us to keep an eye out for any male actors, or males who would like to be in a fringe show and can act, early to late twenties, and... I don't think there's really any demand for a certain build or look or ethnicity...
One of the performers just got a really great opportunity confirmed, and he had thought that it was a definite no. Good for him, and a disappointment for the rest of the show.
OH! OH! The person gets to play my boyfriend, isn't that a definite plus? *crickets chirp* Boo... :P I mean, I know I'd like to act as my boyfriend if given the opportunity. ^_^ I'm unsure as to just how many people read this... but if you're in the Edmonton area, would like to be in a Fringe performance, and meet the above listed requirements, drop me a line! Or, y'know, if you don't meet said requirements but know someone who does... Line. Drop it. Me.
And a spot of good news! Well, more like a good time. Coffee with a co-worker went super well! It was one of those natural conversation type coffees where you don't even realize two hours has passed, and you have to go home and do dishes and you're torn between duty and making a new friend. I guess I can call her my friend now...
Where exactly does the line from coworker to friend get drawn? If you know a bit of my back story and we're on good terms, are we now friends? I introduced her to someone on the Subway by saying "This is my friend, we work together". Maybe it is just in relying on your gut instinct as to who your friends are and where that line divides "someone you know and have a good time with" and "friend".
Also, that weird kind of connection that comes from conversation where you can only nod and say "I've felt something very close to that". Maybe even go so far as to say exactly, knowing that you can't really know every nuance of it, but the words they're using seem to fit like well worn gloves.
Yawn burger... Heh... And as I typed yawn I actually yawned.
Say g'night, Robbie.
G'night Robbie!
And good night and pleasant dreams to you as well, lovelies.
