My first rant about work...

Apr 09, 2006 21:35

Yeah you can skip this if you want...just me venting.

Ok...if you guys have known me for a bit, you know that I usually don't curse, but...
GOD DAMN, BITCH! GET A LIFE!
So this female beast calls down at the end of my shift for the sole purpose of being a bitch.
This is the convo as best as I can remember:
Me: Pharmacy, this is Angel, how may I help you?
Her: Yeah, I called down earlier looking for (blah blah) for my patient, Briggs in room (blah blah)
Me: *looks the dude up on the computer* Ok I got him, how long ago did you send down the order?
Her: That doesn't matter anymore, me and another nurse found it. It was in the WRONG refrigerator in the WRONG alphabeticle bin.
Me: ...oh
Her: You guys need to make sure you put the meds in the right places
Me: Um...ma'am, we usually deliver to the frige on the even side of the hall
Her: WELL THAT'S NOT WHERE THEY NEED TO GO! You HAVE TO put them on the side they belong. And irregardless it was in the WRooOoOoOng bin.
Me: uh...I'm sorry ma'am but-
Her: Yeah, we need to learn how to spell *hangs up*

If you took the time to call us up, just to criticize our education, you can take the time to pick up your fat ass and walk TEN FEET TO THE OTHER REFRIGERATOR. I have to deliver to the SEVEN floors, each with 2 or 3 stations within 30 minutes, not just your station. It isn't my fault you're lazy, and it isn't my fault that your nurse buddies move the meds around to other bins while looking for their meds...
I'm sorry you hate your job, but don't take your anger out at me...I'm not the one that makes you wipe peoples asses.
You give nurses a bad name.

She sounded like the same bitch who was nursing at us yesterday.
...
sorry.

Next up...the 234096830495 Filipino nurses that work at Shands...
Yeah, I'm Filipino, and yeah I was born in the states...get over it and stop treating me like a leper.
They are all really nice to me...until I talk and they realize that I was born here. Then they avoid me like the plague or whisper to each other in Tagalog thinking I don't understand them.
I'm sorry that it offends you so much that my mom didn't fly over to the Philippines to give birth to me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate all nurses...yet. I've encountered a handful of nice, polite nurses in my time at Shands. They make the day a bit brighter, and guess what...they're the ones I make sure to take good care of.

Enough of that...I need to watch more School Rumble.
