Adios, 2008.

Dec 31, 2008 11:03

1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
A lot of things.  Went to Japan, India, Arizona and Puerto Rico.  Went Hang Gliding and White Water Rafting.  Took the GMATs.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't have any official resolutions per se.  I did pretty well with working out and eating better for the first three months of the year, and even after falling off that wagon managed to spend most of the year really focusing on my leg, like I had wanted to.  The saga isn't over yet, but I feel like I'm in a much better position than I was health-wise, physically and mentally.  My main resolution for next year is to learn how to cook so I'm not overly dependent on lean cuisines and restaurants.  I'm contemplating doing a year w/o fast food again as well, to help supplement that.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that close, but a couple people in peripheral and former circles did.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Sadly, my HDTV.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Tim is amazing.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

EDIT:

And another year-end meme that I enjoy: Year in Review

January
I've caught the flickr bug, so add me if you care

February
For some reason I feel as though I haven't posted in forever. But no, it's only been two weeks.

March
Amidst all the hullaballoo about the potential recession, Forbes just listed the top 10 cities to get ahead, 6 out of 10 of which are in MD and VA. Interesting.

April
A friend of mine at work met a girl on Match. They had decent email exchange, but before meeting she asked that he call her to chat on the phone. More than a week later, he still hasn't called, but instead texts her at 11pm and asks if she's still awake. She doesn't call him back

May
My dad and sister came into town.  We had a good time and went up to NYC, where we had more good times.

June
I'm leaving for India on Wednesday morning, so life is a flurry.

July
I started this post on July 1st, and haven't gotten around to completing it till now.

August
I've been working with a "big ideas" person on a new page, we started working on about 10 days ago, he wanted delivery on the project in 2 weeks.

September
Work has continued to be hectic in a myriad of stupid, soul sucking ways.

October
Damn. I remember when I used to post on this thing almost daily.

November
It's the last day of November. On one hand, I want to say "holy crap where did the year go!?!" but on the other hand, it's been quite an action packed year: Manila, Tokyo, New Delhi, London, Seattle, San Jose, Phoenix, went hang gliding, took the GMATs, and had a good friend move to the West Coast. Jeez.

December
Apparently E! is including a popular Filipino actor in its list of 25 most beautiful men.
