packing up...
I'm leaving for India on Wednesday morning, so life is a flurry. I'll be gone till the 3rd. My team is really excited to see me, and have apparently planned many an adventure for my stay there -- including white water rafting down the ganges in Rishikesh. I'm also going to hit up the Taj Mahal, and try to get some sort of Ayurvedic massage treatment while I'm in Delhi. Maybe even ride an elephant?
Oh yeah, and work.
I'm excited but a little daunted too. It's weird to think that there's gonna be some dude standing around the airport holding a plackard with my name on it, and that i'm supposed to just climb into his car and have him take me to the appropriate housing. In the back of my head my dad's voice is calmly yet incessantly reiterating all the anti-kidnapping information he bestowed upon me when I first started driving in manila.
In preparation for my trip and the reportedly ungodly heat that India typically experiences at this time of year, I went shopping over the weekend and snagged some pretty cute, non-sweat inducing tops on sale at the Limited; Yesterday I went to the DSW in Springfield and scored no less than 7 pairs of shoes on sale. Suffice to say I think my summer wardrobe is officially up-to-date. Doing my bit to help kickstart our stumbling economy. Or something.
