Spent most of the evening in the ER with my grandma...
At first we weren't sure what was really wrong because she fell down the stairs. And I spent most of my time at the hospital in the ER with her because I was watching people and making sure they were taking care of my grandma. (There was also the added bonus of going straight from work, so I had my lab tech ID badge on. Therefore they knew that I knew what I was talking about, etc.)
All the lab work was fine, and the x-rays showed that there was a small fracture (though larger than a hairline fracture) in one of her ankle bones (though I'm not sure which one).
So now she has a cast on her foot. And in the process my Aunt Gina got her hip and arm bruised because the orthopedic surgeon who came to look at my grandma's foot knocked her off the chair by the bed when he wheeled her back out of the ER for more x-rays. Oh, and I managed to get fiberglass all over my left hand because the fucking orthopedic surgeon wanted "assistance" (read as: he needed help putting the cast on, didn't have a nurse/aide with him, and got the added benefit of being able to look down my shirt) with the cast and the asshole didn't give me time to put on a pair of fucking gloves. I'm going to have issues with this socially inept asshole if he keeps this shit up.

I also realize that I was stupid for not putting on the gloves anyway, but the asshole had the nerve to glare at me like I was one of his lackeys that wasn't moving fast enough. Bitch, please. I was also doing a good job of not getting also of the fiberglass on my hands until he wrapped her heel (which meant that there was no longer any fiberglass-free area for me hold). Of course he had his fun by finding ways to expose my cleavage the most. What a slimy bastard. The best part was that he said it "wouldn't be too hard to get off," but only told me to use alcohol pads to try and get it off. Which barely worked at all. Naturally. So now I can't touch anything and had to wrap my hand because I'd prefer not to have the minute shards of glass get anywhere else. And of course the wrap is doing a good job of driving those lovely little shards further into my hand at the same time... *growls*

So I had a fun night.... (And due to my incapacitated hand it took me for-fucking-ever to type this. Work is going to be interesting tomorrow. Oh rapture.)
