Scrambling & Selling Short
God, it seems like I spend more time thinking about fic than writing it.
I am a sloooow writer and occasionally attempt to break myself from that habit by setting deadlines. Picking a deadline for the fic I'm currently working on was easy as the plot is kind of Halloween-ish... if you squint and tilt your head a little. The good news is that I think I can finish this story by my self-imposed October 31st deadline. The bad news is that I'm not all that happy with it. I feel like, in my rush to finish it on time, I'm writing an abbreviated version of what could easily be a longer tale. I'm going to hold myself to the deadline, but I may revisit and revamp the story once I finish some of the other fics I have swirling around in my head.
Ugh... feeling so discouraged today. :(
