Still in Scotland, helping Sammie pack. When I say helping, I mean munching and watching, saying, "I had no one to help me...I had to do it ON MY OWN." Ah, the funness of having Sammie back.
So for this week, I've been in England and Scotland with my parents, grandparents, and earlier, with my aunt, uncle and cousins. I love my family, I really do, but when I'm around my Mum 24/7, my natural bitchiness is enhanced, and fights pretty much always ensue, degenerating to my Dad breaking it up, and final cries of, "SHE started it!" from both of us. It'll be better when we get back, and we can avoid each other better.
In other news, I've been trying to be less of a bimbo and actually reading books without swirly letters on pink covers. I'm currently trying to get through Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon, which is madly confusing, and often hysterically funny without meaning to be. There's many different story lines, and random tangents that make no sense, to me, at least. The names are cool though--Pirate Prentice and Roger Mexico to name but 2. Roger I can give or take, but I love Mexico. Don't you wish your name was Mexico? I do!
Being around my sis in her college town with her friends and flatmates makes me want to go back to WM! Sigh...it's freaking freezing in Scotland, so I've been wearing my WM sweatshirt constantly, which serves to remind me. Also, I keep running into chatty Virginians who talk to me about it, which is kind of cool :).
Allllllllllllright, dinner with the family. My life is defined by meals. We eat 3 times a day, often more. It's...interesting. This cannot continue. I will be the size of a house. Not a little cottage, a big mansion type house.
