He breaks the hug not in the mood for human or angel contact. He feels the next person to touch him is going to get a dagger to the face. So instead Remiel blip's Gabriel to the Rocky Mountains where the ancient trees grow metres in diameter. In a blind build up of tension, in his human form he forcibly rams a punch into the nearest giant redwood.

Still pacing he knows in the back of his mind that probably didn't make a lot of sense to the casual observer. This is why Remiel once in a millenia blew off steam and didn't let errors of the universe seep in. Because when he's in a mood, he talks like a crazy person.

After a moment, he hums thoughtfully. "They're stubborn little clay beings, aye. Not gonna deny it. Think the discovery of fire was where things really got explosive." Headtilt, "Any specific group of humans or just the ones we're protectin' so they can fight?"

"All humans Gabe. I protect all humans. That's my job. You blow up shit. I hold up umbrellas so the debri doesn't squish their heads. And the ones that do get sideswiped by falling cement blocks wakes up on the other side of the veil to me, again. Sorry guy, you're dead. Here's a mint for the flight to Heaven. Sorry about the genocide! Hey don't blame me. That's free will for you." Remiel spouts somewhat incoherently now turning to his brother.
"You're smoking in a forest?!"

"I'm keeping it controlled. You just knocked over a centuries old tree with your fist, a cigarette isn't going to do anything like that, especially not when I make sure the butt is out and take the trash with me." Slight frown. "You're argumentative today, Remi. Look. Do you want to hit me a bit to burn off some steam? Because you can, I'll not stop you. Or do you want... I dunno. Something." More sympathetically, "They're annoying, vexatious, bothersome creatures an' that's at the best of times. But they're also interestin' an' though most of 'em don't realise what a gift free will truly is, those that do? They really appreciate that fact, that gift."

Pause.
"Alright what I just said there was a little bit of an argument but you know what I mean. Why the heck would I want to hit you when I just toppled a tree? I only punched you once before because I was drunk and you called Chuck a hobbit." He says with an honest query and then more to himself than Gabriel, "You smiters and your violence. It's like crack to you."
As he was saying all this he had bent down, taken off his shoes and shirt and now instead of pacing was lying on his back on the meadowish grass facing the canopy. He could hear the earth breathing from here; the sounds of roots striving for nutrients, the deep underground water table, and life of all the animals and beings that crossed this same spot. Completely and utterly relaxing, to him (although some may be astonished) better than the afterglow of intercourse.

Smiles then as an eagle swoops down, flares its wings and settles on his upraised arm. Gently strokes the soft feathers of the bird's chest, humming low in his throat, the eagle nuzzling his fingers. "'m a soldier, Remi. But 'fore that, 'm your brother. If my cranky, smitey self can help, you know I will, however I can."

"I'm fine. Just tired sometimes." Laying there on the ground the tall grass curling by his ears he can't help but fight back a smile, "you should really take up herbal cigarettes brother. Better for your lungs. And they don't smell as bad."
He's in a much lighter mood now and is willing to let of off some steam with his words. At the core he will be a lover not a fighter, but as hard as he tries to resist emotions like any other being takes over. He queries to himself of his older brother, who may just be the opposite. The fighter at the core first, and then the lover. But if he, the anger of God, can find true love and happiness is he changed? And from this could Remiel change as well? A concerned look falls Remiel's face as he turns his face towards Gabriel and his new friend apparently.
"New mascot?" He breaks his concerned gaze with a smile.

"Yeah, know the feeling." Smiles fondly at Remiel as he continues to gently stroke the breast of the eagle. "Birds of prey like me. Whenever I stop moving and I'm not in cities or somethin', they come to say hi. Guess it's part of the whole predator thing." The smile broadens as the eagle nuzzles his fingers again.
Looks seriously at his brother then, Archangel silvery light in the blue of his eyes. Softly, "Love is Dad's gift, my beloved brother. It always changes things. People. Archangels, apparently."

When Gabriel mentions love in his serious tone Remiel cannot help but turn away from his gaze. "You know I am happy for you Gabriel. Perhaps I do not express it well enough but I am. You deserve happiness." He speaks with sadness.

Headtilt as he watches his brother. "Yeah, I know you are. I know all of you are, even if some of you don't get it at all. I understand that, too. We've lived forever an' I've never been in this spot. Maybe 's a lesson as well as what it is. Weirdly, he calms me a bit. I actually think for five seconds 'fore drawin' my sword." Is silent for a while, then, "You've got thinkin' face, Remi. What's up?"
