Let us take the soul for what it's worth

Okay, she thought to herself as she checked her bank account on her cell phone. I have about 30,000. I haven't heard anything from Carwin yet about rides out to Unova, and no one at the Battle Frontier could point out a flag or even recognized the name. That means that I'll probably have to rent out a private jet, which would cost..... Melody changed the address in her web browser to Google, and began looking figures up. She went into one site for a quote, inputting about ten people as the passenger number and filling in the rest of the information with mildly false info. She wasn't sure if they were going to bring their friends along; she knew that Carwin would want to bring them, and as for herself... Well...
In the back of her mind, she wondered if her husband would want to come along. He could use a vacation from all of the hard work that he's done, she knew, but at the same time, she loved and respected him for his choice to continue working and helping people and Pokemon. How would she approach him about this....?

The page loaded and Melody blinked at the figure. 300,000 pokeyen was needed to rent a private jet. She wasn't even sure how long they would spend in Unova, and she didn't want to be short on cash for when they returned. So, she had inputted a year. Although she didn't know it, Cynthia had planned to stay for only half a year, but with how long league challenges usually took... Mel wasn't even sure if they could connect to the PCs out here. If that was the case, they would have to set up new accounts and catch new Pokemon just to be able to cover more weaknesses, and learn the typings of the unfamiliar Pokemon.
Sighing, Melody closed the phone with a *snap!* and looked around her home. There were some trophies in display on the wall, next to the door, in the living room. She had a personal computer room that was set up so she could withdraw her Pokemon from her own room while she was out, anywhere in the world. The entire house had cost a lot, but with their combined income, it was nearly easy pay. Hell, the house had cost more than the round trip she was planning. It was such a shame that hardly either one of them actually spent time living in it, but it kept the house looking new and beautiful, at the very least.

As Melody took a seat on the couch, she began to drift off into thoughts of how to bring this up to her husband. She wasn't going to just ask him for the money. That wasn't her thing, to get handouts or be completely financially dependent on him. She had beaten him in his own league, quite literally, and was just as capable as him to earn the money from being the champion. She didn't like the thought of being tied down, though, and had refused to take up the job. She could tell that he enjoyed it more than she ever could.
Back to the financial situation, Mel!, she chided herself. Regardless of whether he would come with her or not, she still needed more money than she could earn in a month. She wasn't certain how much her husband had in his account, and she didn't feel right not returning whatever she needed. A loan, yes, that could work, although she was certain that he'd just look at her or sighed and tell her to keep it, and then kiss her on the forehead....

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the vibration in her pocket. It was a text message from Ignacia, and Melody flipped open her phone to see what the younger trainer wanted.
