Вот тут написано много букв и дано много картинок, так что похоже, что люди разобрались глубоко. Я, признаюсь, до конца не дочитал (я уже говорил, что много букв?).
Авторы, вроде, ничего не утверждают категорически, но по их мнению, нельзя отрицать версию, что в геноме этого самого ковида поковырялись Уханьские вирусологи. То есть, в основном он очень похож на летучемышиный, который очень злой, но на людей не бросается. Но выглядит так, как будто в него вставлены фрагменты генома панголиньего вируса, как раз такие и там, чтобы облегчить ему проникновение в другие виды, включая человека.
Хм. Последим за этой версией.

А сказать, что у меня есть доказательство, но я его не скажу, это какой-то детский сад. Пшик. Китайцы сразу скажут: "Вы всё врёте," и выиграют время для подготовки обстоятельного ответа.
Впрочем, возможно, всё это расчитано на внутреннего потребителя. Простой трамповский избиратель - это вполне себе детский сад. Трамп имеет доказательство, но не скажет - стопицот героических очков к рейтингу.

Любое утверждение об обратном свидетельствует либо о недобросовестности, либо о безграмотности и патологическом интересе к конспирологии. Если же речь о том, что это природный вирус, который сбежал из лаборатории, то здесь наука бессильна: геномы на эту тему ничего сказать не могут - только следователи."

Ещё в копилку. В Сети циркулирует вброс, что профессор из Киото нобелевский лауреат Тацуки Хондзё поддерживает версию об искусственном происхождении коронавируса. Его так достали вопросами "чоправда?", что ему пришлось официально опровергать. Интересно, как рождаются подобные вбросы?
В связи с этим вспомнилась история другого вброса. Существует вирусный мем, активно распространяемый верующими всех сортов, о том, что "учёные открыли частицу Бога, божественную частицу". Говорят, его происхождение очень простое. Учёный, писавший научно-популярную статью о бозоне Хиггса, назвал её "god-damn particle". Редактор решил, что это грубо и "damn" убрал. Попав в питательную среду жаждущих чуда, такая формулировочка растиражировалась взрывным образом.

Trump did not specify whether he thought the virus was made in the lab or if it occurred naturally, but was being studied and somehow released. Academic studies of the virus have found evidence showing the virus itself likely emerged naturally.
The Director of National Intelligence, just hours earlier, had released a statement saying the intelligence community was looking into “whether the outbreak began through contact with infected animals or if it was the result of an accident at a laboratory in Wuhan.”
Trump also brought up the possibility that Chinese actions might have allowed the pandemic to spread. “They were either unable to [contain it] or they chose not to,” he said Thursday, later adding it’s a possibility “they let it spread.”
Concrete evidence of that, according to Carano, would be a worst-case scenario. “If you could prove that, I think that would be pretty damning,” he said.
No evidence has emerged of China intentionally allowing the virus to spread around the world.
Either way, the president is going all in on his China rhetoric, said Barfield, largely because of the election in November. "They really do want to turn our attention, turn the nation's attention to China and run on blaming this on China," he said of Republicans.

The 15-page research document, obtained by The Saturday Telegraph, lays the foundation for the case of negligence being mounted against China.
It states that to the “endangerment of other countries” the Chinese government covered-up news of the virus by silencing or “disappearing” doctors who spoke out, destroying evidence of it in laboratories and refusing to provide live samples to international scientists who were working on a vaccine.
It can also be revealed the Australian government trained and funded a team of Chinese scientists who belong to a laboratory which went on to genetically modify deadly coronaviruses that could be transmitted from bats to humans and had no cure, and is now the subject of a probe into the origins of COVID-19.
As intelligence agencies investigate whether the virus inadvertently leaked from a Wuhan laboratory, the team and its research led by scientist Shi Zhengli feature in the dossier prepared by Western governments that points to several studies they conducted as areas of concern.
It cites their work discovering samples of coronavirus from a cave in the Yunnan province with striking genetic similarity to COVID-19, along with their research synthesising a bat-derived coronavirus that could not be treated.
