It has been most fortuitous that I have spent the last several days confined within this cell, as I have been able to avoid the most recent curses. I do ask, however, about the status of my incarceration. I am not sure of how punishment works within the city, but in my own home world it was expected that an accused party would receive a just trial for their actions, and their sentence would be made known to them should they be found guilty.
As I have confessed my own involvement, such a trial is merely a formality, but a formality that I must insist upon.
If I am to be punished, I would know what my punishment is to be. If there is to be no trial, however, then I must ask to be released, that I may look after my business, and that the police protect me from any who feel that the judgment was to lenient.
Ms. Haruhi, I do hope that you have maintained the business in my absence and kept it from losing more money?
