Lilya understood why they had to move to Ultaa so soon after they were married. Juris felt that, as head of the town’s militia, it made more sense for him to actually live in the town. Lilya couldn’t fault that logic. And though the commute had never taken long, using an Ophela crystal to get to work every day, and then asking a Cleric to send him home did become costly and troublesome for the priest.
The only real complaint Lilya had was that they no longer had a front porch. The house they’d first lived in after they married had a nice front porch with a bench. Lilya had grown fond of sitting on that bench, watching the world go by in their quiet corner of the city. It was even better when Juris joined her.
