The Wheel of School Is Turning - SEMESTER 2! ACTION!
Yeah, I wish it ended up being that cool.
Tomorrow is the start of the semester this year and I'm hoping that I'll do better in Japanese this term than the last. Honestly, I confess that a large part of my lackluster performance was my personal laziness. And while I don't expect to suddenly turn into a dynamo, I'm hoping that I do put some actual effort into things. Aside from Japanese 204, I've got Art: Impressionism to Present and hoping to petition into Meteorology to satisfy my hard sci prereq. The latter two courses are online, so that keeps my schedule fairly open. It's mostly cause I really do enjoy having the freedom to handle things at a rate I choose.
Work's been alright. My hours lately have been kinda minimal, so on an upside, I've got a fair chunk of free time. I figure I should probably get those spare GunPlas I've been meaning to sell together and vend 'em off on eBay. It's none of my favorite ones; mostly the stuff that I picked up either a regular HG 1/100 or 1/144 of and they've since released an MG version that I'd rather have. Maybe with my free time, I should get to work on one of them... maybe finish the Aegis or start the Noir or Freedom. The Freedom 'll prolli end up getting a custom paint job. I want it to look cooler than Jesus Yamato's machine. Maybe something Zone of the Enders inspired.
Cosplay plans are underway already. Looks like we're doing Persona 3/4 this year, though I've been a little disheartened by some news a new acquaintance delivered to me today. Seems there's more drama and whatnot among the AX staff; just what I needed to hear. After reading the story, I'd commented that it was like watching the home improvement crew demolish your house.
pyrokitty had her first day as a dedicated employee at the vet hospital in Orange today. I was pleased to hear that it wasn't nearly as bad as she'd expected. From what I'd heard, they're keeping very busy over there, so that's always a plus. The way the new place is, it's harder for me to get there, so I'm gonna guess I won't be able to get lunch with her as often and she'll have to take the bus home or at least to the school on Tuesday nights. I'm debating on having another car key made and stashing the laptop in the trunk for her if she elects to just meet me after class when she gets off. That way, I figure she'll have something to do.
I think that's a majority of what's going on right now. I'm not feeling sleepy-tired, but I'm just feeling worn-down tired right now and I can't fathom why. Maybe I just need some time to veg out and turn off. I confess I feel like I've been trying to run full-tilt the past few days. Perhaps it's just mental fatigue. I keep feeling like something else that I should mention came up, but I just can't think of what it could have been.
