Middling
Today hurts just as bad but it is slightly easier.
I had a meeting with my graduate committee today. I think it went really well. I got grilled on a lot of stuff that I need to have answers for, and I have to work on my proposal because it has some holes in it, but I am very close to advancing to candidacy. This means that I am allowed to take units to work in the lab and that when I finish with my thesis I can defend it and graduate. Very good news indeed!
My tonsillectomy is tomorrow. I am thrilled to finally have those worthless infected lumps of tissue excised. I am so done with getting sick unless I am on a constant course of antibiotics and with feeling blah because I can't get proper sleep and my stomach feels sick.
However, I find that I am apprehensive about the procedure and especially the recovery. It is supposed to really hurt and be painful for quite a long time. I am such a wimp sometimes that this is not really appealing to me. But I need this to get healthy again.
I just enjoyed a nice dinner, the last solid food I will have for at least a week. Whee.
My husband is amazing and I love him to bits. Totally worth it.
