Damn, this journal's seen quite a bit of milage. It's been a couple years since I made it. I think that sometimes all people post in a public forum like this is the worst of themselves. The social order, at least here in the 'States, seems to have become obsessed with the concept of identity. The idea that there is a "you" and this "you" can be defined by its symptoms, and in most cases that means "becoming" something that you aren't, but "you" are. Identity becomes a matter of pride, and all that defies it is quickly thrown overboard. We are products of our efforts to identify ourselves, and our world the result of our attempts to identify it. What if we can stop this process? What if we can eliminate ourselves from the equation and yet still exist? Intellectual absurdities? Possibly, but then again, isn't everything intellectually absurd, depending on which Truth you're staring at it from?
