(I've read all of these except The Silmarrilion & Don Quixote, which I have yet to finish.)
I've read 39 and 3 partially. More than I would've thought. The list's an interesting mix of literary classics one would read in English classes and book-club books: apparently, people feel compelled to buy books and have them on their shelves when other generic people say that they're really worth reading. (As opposed to, say, friends who know you'd enjoy it a lot.)
