In truth, I likely will not be at the next event.
I dont know where people get the idea that I'm all about barking orders at people because frankly I dont do that(much). If you want out of Omega that badly, all you had to do is say something.
All I wanted to do is build a solid group of people to play with, to have fun with and to forget the stresses of daily life. I wanted to create a character and group that had a higher tech feel to them, because it is something that's unusual in the world of Larp.
Instead all I seem to be doing is sifiling people's creativity and their fun. Perhaps I should just stop playing, if this is truly the case.
Contrary to popular belief, there's more to LC than the military exterior that everyone sees. A select few people saw that this past event. It's not something that he lets out often. Like anyone, he is a man with hopes and dreams, sorrows and regrets. He has his ghosts, but like anyone who holds a position of power he has to keep them under rigid control for the sake of his job.
It's a real shame that people seem to see LC as some kind of military control freak, some 2 dimensional army nut barking orders at people and expecting them to react like automatons. These people seem to be missing the fact that he's just a man doing a job, and there's a person behind that rank badge. a person who can be reasoned with and a person who can be talked to.
I really had fun at the event. I felt like we, as a group, accomplished something lasting. That we made a difference. Now, after the fact, hearing the complaints, I find that victory bitter. Perhaps I should let this thing which has grown and born fruit wither on the vine, because the fruit is too sour for my taste.
