hack, hack, hack, hack :)
well, here we are. what do I need to round off my netowrk then...not too much all over.
1) 1 u2w SCSI harddisk. pref 10K > 4Gb. just comfy for ripping 1394 DV feeds to.
2) A _working_ stick of 128Mb pc133 ram. Most likely needs to be be dual bank as something out of a 440BX or compaq's playing about doesn't like single bank RAM.
3) Thats about it hardware wise, after the last time I tried my RAID controller I'll just stick to it being a nice SCSI adapter.
4) Build kernel 2.4.20 again, including APM poweroff functions this time :P
5) Build xfree86
6) Put the Nvidia drivers on xfree86
7) Put fvmw95 over all that, by which time I should be ok to start putting apps over the top.
8) Migrate my firewall to its new home, a real cool SFF (Small form factor ( bookshelf/mini itx size) compaq deskpro which will be great fur Uni as it will fit on the bookshelf if neaded :)
9) See i I can finally capture video on my workstation
