heh, I caught this as i signed on to msn this evening (names hidden to protect the guilty)
there was an associated usrimage as well, and while its NSFWness isn't a terrible problem it does rather ID the account in question, though it would have been a useful secondary indicator.
Personally if i'm going to be unable to communicate with folks I gtf offline of whatever the messenger is and go deal with whatever i'm doing. Firstly don't be surprised if no one guesses you are there when you say you aren't, and also if you're going to be all rebel-rage **** da powlice and use a usricon that is likely to cause people grief, don't get in a huff when people avoid the grief by not talking to you.
