gah.... 65 straight ( or, maybe not ;) hours awake......
Heys :) long time no see y'alls *hugs everyone*
This weekend was maninc and a half. Yours truly got roped into running the tech backend of the weekend lock-in special at the Union. This was a version of "BigBrother" with 6 students locked in an office watched by a number of cameras and the 8 support/managment staff to ensure that things didn't go too awry despite the alcohol :P.
So what was it that I was doing all this time. Well, providing audio transcieve to teh room via a mixer/mics/amp/speaker so that the room occupants could be talked to and heard, and ensureing that the audio and video was transported onto the webstream that had been set up. Also under my remit was wiring the rest of the building to get signal feed into the main bar and venue halls to get the event publicised in the major places over the weekend. Given teh extreme sensitivity of some of the cabling I needed to be there incase anything dropped out.
Also I had muchos fun taking a gagged/blindfolded participant to the annual 1st of May "may Dip" at 5am in the North Sea :P. Much fun listening to the change in emotions as he figured out what was happening, and where he was :)
so, thats why I've been away all weekend, as the times during the day when I was around I was also helping in normal union running at the same time.
